Bite down on cavities!
Plidenta has launched the new Plidenta Pro-t-action, the first toothpaste based on the active probiotic Lactobacillus Pro-t-action.
Plidenta's toothpaste prevents plaque, and Lactobacillus Pro-t-action contributes to the removal of the Streptococcus mutans bacteria, the most common cause of cavities.
Lactobacillus Pro-t-action is a revolutionary innovation of the German company BASF Future Business GmbH, developed from probiotic milk acid bacteria culture. The special thing about Pro-t-action is that it reacts exclusively with cavity-causing bacteria, but does not affect other bacteria in the mouth. According to scientific research presented at international professional conferences, Lactobacillus Pro-t-action decreases the number of S. mutans bacteria, which is considered to be the most responsible for cavities, by up to 50% with regular daily use.
The new toothpaste was developed by experts in Neva, an Atlantic Grupa member, as the first toothpaste in the world to contain this probiotic culture. The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of the Republic of Croatia listed Plidenta Pro-t-action as a special use cosmetic.
Cavities are one of the most widespread diseases in the world. According to data from the WHO, nearly 5 billion people, or 90% of the world's population, are affected by cavities. An epidemiological study showed an alarming global rise in cavity prevalence. Starting the end of April, Plidenta will once again join the fight against this disease with the "Bite down on cavities" campaign.
