Gingivitis

Gum inflammation or gingivitis is the inflammation of the soft gum tissue. Gums become red, inflamed, and they bleed easily, sometimes even under the lightest touch. Gum disease can last for years before a more serious inflammation of the teeth and gums – pariodontitis – occurs. Untreated chronic gingivitis can lead to the deepening of the pockets where bacteria settle and additionally worsen the condition of the teeth, causing them to fall out. In order to prevent the formation of gum inflammation, regular oral hygiene with special toothpastes that fight the cause of inflammation, and soothe sensitive gums, is essential.
